Tower House
Amazing builders! Crouching in the dark during a 10 minute exposures I began to think of what went into building this 2 story dwelling. Three large tree trunks remain as the floor of the second story. Where did the floor itself go? Generally the floor consists of smaller branches laid perpendicular to the main beams with a thick layer of mud as the floor. I don't see any sign of the floor, did the early pot hunters use these branches for their fire? I think I have an understanding of why the original inhabitants left this area, but what drew the early discoverers? What were they thinking as they looted these sites?
